Challenge #4
25 Jan
-Complete an entire NY Times crossword puzzle in a week-
This week’s challenge is to complete a whole crossword puzzle. I let Dan pick because I couldn’t make up my mind, but I have never actually completed an entire crossword before. For some reason, I feel like the New York Times has the toughest puzzles, so that’s why I chose them. First thing this morning (after dropping Dan at the airport), I stopped a Starbucks to get a soy latte and a NY Times (you can get some online, but I wanted the REAL thing). I already cut it out and start working on it. It’s pretty addictive! It should be a nice break, though maybe too much of one… We’ll see how it goes.
Who’s with me?!

I could cheat and enthusiastically say I’m with you, but I already do a crossword puzzle every day. If you want more of a challenge, wait until later in the week. They get harder as the week progresses.
Thanks for keeping track of this online! It’s been great reading about your adventures.
You do one everyday???? I should expect no less, I guess, miss almost-done-with-an-english-phd, or should I say Dr. almost-done-with-an-english-phd? Ha. That took awhile to write. And, for the record, I DO NOT want harder ones. This one is pretty tough!!
Well, I don’t do the NY Times puzzle — which is one of the harder ones out there — and I do mine online. It lets you know if you have a letter wrong. So I’m a crossword puzzle cheater.
But I like to do them while I eat my breakfast. I feel like it warms up my brain for the day.
ooh, i kinda wanna know the website. (and i’m totally cheating with google on the NY times one… it’s impossible!)
I somehow ended up doing the LA Times crossword puzzle, and every once in a while I’ll do the Charlotte Observer puzzle. A lot of newspapers put there’s online daily. The NYT does, too, but you have to pay for it.
