The Audi is outtie

1 Jul

Today, Dan and I went from being a two-car family to being a one-car family.  The suburban side of myself feels a little naked, but the city side of myself feels just right.  Dan works form home after all and the parking is so horrible downtown and at Ohio State that I either walk or ride the bus most days.  The Audi, as beautiful as it was, spent most of its days cold and alone out in the cruel parking lot.  It didn’t have a garage or a regular driving schedule and neither of those are good ways to hold a car’s value.  So, today, we cut her loose.  Dan found a guy on craigslist (who was kind of a pain in the butt and had a wife that was an even bigger pain in the butt).  After a few issues and a drive to Cincinnati to get the title, the transaction finally took place today in the parking lot of a Huntington Bank in the quaint little suburb of Hilliard.  Now, we can sock that extra money away for our (reasonably-priced) dream house and maybe even a replacement Audi somewhere in the not-too-distant future.

Hasta la vista, Audi.

Hasta la vista, Audi.

P.S. How did June go by so quickly?

Not to complain about your lovely blog… but that iphone-trivial pursuit video is still playing automatically every time I open your page. Is that something you can fix or do I need to change some setting that I have?
